Hi, I am Aqeel!
I fell in love with photography when I was experimenting with long exposures on my very first DSLR camera back in 2015. I couldn’t have picked a better subject to photograph, the cool and calm vibes of the city after a long day of hustle and bustle set the perfect tone for one to capture the night away - if you haven’t guessed it yet, I’m referring to New York City. The colors, the shiny buildings, the glimmery lights, the sharp details, the fuzziness of the floating clouds - I had them, I had all of these things cooked up in my frame and it even made the Hudson River looked better!
From there, i eagerly started to grow fond of people, expressions, and moments. I took up any and every opportunity to shoot new faces as I dug deeper in the art of capturing light and emotions. I photographed people on the streets, at fashion shows, in the park, at a party, basically wherever I could until one day I decided to shadow a wedding photographer. Was it challenging? You bet ya but at the same time it was oh so exhilarating! I was overjoyed with the rush of having front row seats to the greatest and most joyful moment a couple would ever experience in their lifetime and I was there to capture it all. This is where my journey began as a wedding photographer and I continue to look forward to sitting in the front row each and every time while also using my cameras, we can’t forget that part of course.
Besides wedding photography, I also enjoy capturing headshots, maternity, and 2 other subjects that I love as much as photography - food and cars. With that said, I look forward to capturing all your favorite memories!
